Maybe one of the only photographs that I took on holidays in America that can be considered funny and humorous. I have a thing with taking pictures of ordinary animals and birds. Since I don't have pets anymore (rest in peace) this has become slightly more problematic.
I was overly excited to see the way this turned out, the bird looking straight on towards me beak barely visible and in focus as well. Considering I was zoomed in and I don't have the steadiest of hands I was amazed.
I always feel that I have to include both photographs together since in one you can't see his beady little eyes or his beak. He looks rather proud and handsome don't you think?

There's peace on the water
Bitter cold wind coming off the ocean, blue as far as they eye can see and the horizon and the sky melt into one. Smeared white like white-out applied by a sloppy English student and careless hazy shading of the land like a primary school art student. I miss that place.
Brick red roofs attached to half covered white boxes in which people call home. Little boats resembling bath toys which people may either call a hobby, an escape or a livelihood.

Can you take me higher?
Little plane, how high can you take me? Can you make me run away as fast as possible from everyone back home? Can you make me restless and cramped like a caged animal? Take me away from everything boring and normal, I want to live and feel things again. I want my blood to boil with excitement and anticipation.

Shoe Monster
A shoe display of epic proportions of a shop along Haight St. San Francisco (though it could also be Union St.
San Francisco). I might be a little more sure if they had the vans in my size that I wanted to buy! They were so amazing, they were mint green and orange hi tops with an Aztec print and I have not been able to find them online or anywhere in Australia. Just my luck that everyone else in San Francisco fell in love with them and they were all out of my size. Instead I bought an American Apparel sheer floral shirt with the last of my money in America before hopping on a plane back home just in time for Australia Day.

Burger Connoisseur
In America I think I must have put on a little bit of weight despite all the walking around we had to do. Maybe it would have been healthy for us if our diets didn't consist of white bread pumped full of sugar and honey as well as processed cheese and a burger for lunch at every tourist destination we went to.Just as well in Australia we have real fresh produce and I eat vegetables regularly for dinner and bring a piece of fruit to school with me every day. I'm a little paranoid about contracting scurvy too.

Let's Zorbas!

Borrowed my friend Lauren's camera and passed it around the table and we got up to some goofy stuff and danced the Zorbas around the room and there was plate smashing too. Amazing food, a little better than working on a Friday night but I did miss refereeing.
Had a lot of fun taking photographs of Maddy once again, some of them will make an appearance at her 21st no doubt, they are pretty hilarious.

Giving out best Blue Steel and being really really ridiculously good looking.
