Alcatraz; the prison perched on an island near the city of San Francisco and I think it's safe to say J.K. Rowling used it as inspiration for her third Harry Potter book: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban where Azkaban is the wizard prison perched on an island guarded by the death eaters, monsters that threaten to eat your soul and take away all your happiness. The G'Day USA 2011 group from my school did a quiz in small groups as a way to get to know each other and also for us to learn about the country we were to visit. One of the questions was, "what is the name of the island prison in San Francisco?"
Immediately one of the younger boys in my group said Azkaban confusing fiction with reality. It was one of the sports fanatic football playing boys that probably wouldn't be as familiar with Harry Potter too. I felt proud.
