Vignette Disposable Kodak Film

First attempt in scanning 35mm film and it is a little bit of a shambles. These photographs have featured on this blog before but I had to take photographs of the developed results which I thought was pretty dodgy. Then when I saw how these came out I wondered what the hell went wrong... It's a little good for some of the brighter photographs where the colours are dominant and it looks like it has a vignette affect. Some of the others look awful and full, like there's a dominant sepia tone affect and nothing is bright and stands out. My Diana Mini and Canon A1 scanned film turned out a little better, with varying results.

Woody and Jessie

Yes I consider this to be one of my proudest achievements to date; getting a photograph with Woody and Jessie at Adventureland at Disneyland. I'm the dork on the right closest to Jessie. I can't remember whether or not they had writing on the undersides of their shoes but I don't think I asked. I would have loved a photo with Buzz Light year as well but the lines for most of the Disney characters was horrendous and I only got another picture with myself and a chipmunk.

Mine

Fun fact: My favourite part of the Finding Nemo DVD is the different languages they get the seagulls to say "mine" in. For such a short and concise phrase in English they get these feathered hungry fiends to say, it can have some rather long and strange translations. Which is made even funnier when they have the same tone of voice in all those languages. My next favourite part of the movie was seeing Marlin vow to look after his son after Coral dies. I always tear up or cry when he looks around the anemone calling her name... so sad.
Action shot on my Fujifilm S1800, trying to capture the precise moment where they turn their mechanical heads and say 'mine' at Disneyland, California.

Romanticism

There was always this romanticism I associated with the iconic Disneyland pink castle. Prince Charming will one day come and offer you his hand, whisk you away from your dull and dreary life on a white horse where you will live happily ever after and have lots and lots of babies with fantastic names. I've been to the castle and at the tender age of seventeen I've come to realise you actually cannot live inside it as it is one giant prop. And my prince charming tends to wear a red flannelet shirt but he's very good at kissing and cuddling.I'll take life as it comes day by day and try not to turn into a baby factory.
