Cottontail

One of my favourite things about having little baby rabbits around was seeing how long their ears would grow and at different rates as well as watching their tails fluff out from skinny little triangular balls of fluff barely covering their tail bones.

Hello Possum

I have a tendency to paparazzi the local possums that think it's a smart idea to sit in the trees outside my bedroom window, especially when I seem to hit the metaphorical wall and need a flash of brilliance to strike. That's when I use a brilliant camera flash to dazzle the possums.

Sunsets

Something about the combination of a sunset in Winter and a faint little drizzle of rain brought out some amazing colours in my street this week, and since the trees are all bare since they also dropped their leaves I got some nice effects out of it as a little study break. It's funny, sort of in the middle of my semester I felt like I had no time for relaxing and taking a few quick snaps but it does sort of help me. I also took a few photographs of this scene using my Diana F+ Mr. Pink using 800 ASO film and a telephoto lens as well as having the back panel taped up to prevent unpredictable light leaks. I hope the lens was "focused" but then again the definition of focused can get very blurred with those plastic cameras...

Peter Rabbit

I didn't even have the chance to dress them all up in little clothes; but if they had lived longer and I had my pet rabbits I doubt I would've had the energy to dress them up in little costumes. They were always very cute to me anyway.

I'll eat you up I love you so

I miss the way they used to brighten up my days when things had been a little tough at school or I was in a bad mood. And I miss the way those long soft ears were attached to the best listeners in the world that would always keep your secrets and never tell another living soul.

Vignette Canon A1 Film

Some of the photographs when they were developed look worse than the scanned film that I did up on the weekend but I have no idea what happened to the blue colour leak photograph at the bottom of this post since I haven't used a colour flash on this roll of film. Everything is a little vague and blurry but I love the photograph of my first Cocoa rabbit reaching up for a dandelion, the red balloon tangled in the haunted and bare branches of a tree in winter, the butterfly resting on a bed of blades of grass, my cameras sitting in a drawer at my desk at home, the roses at the very back of my yard that grew so tall and heavy they broke away from their trellis and the yellow daisies in our front yard outside the front door. Their all photographs of ordinary household things that mean a lot to me, but I think I should branch out and use a higher ISO film, the flash unit and have something exciting to photograph next.
